Grand Illusion Mystery Teil 3/ Part 3

I didn't like part 3. I can sew together strips with an accurate straight seam, but keeping long strips straight when pressing is beyond me.
Apart from those difficulties of getting there, I don't like my units.(No whining, just stating the facts)
I hope that they will blend harmonically into the big picture and that then I'll wonder why I ever disliked them.

  1. I'm sure they will all blend in the end, but for now we can only guess!

  2. Hi Karabeta,

  3. These blocks don't match my other units either. Somehow Bonnie will make it work. We need to trust her design.

  4. I love the browns! I just wish I had the courage to change the colors; maybe the next mystery quilt. I agree that I am stumped as to how the last units will fit into the quilt. Maybe they really are part of the border. Only time will tell.

  5. I don't think you should worry about your colors. When you see all them together I like your colors. And oh my what do we have ahead of us yet? We have several more weeks. When you press your long strips do you lay them out full length of your ironing board to do it?

  7. I love your blocks. The colours are lovely and they will look great with your earlier blocks. Your neutral is going to have a really grounding effect on this quilt. I can't wait to see it as it comes together.

  8. All the block in differnt colours looks great, I wasn´t brave enough to change the colours recommended, but next time I really want to do it.
